Churches Together in England is the meeting place of 50 denominations, 2,600 local unity groups and 850 Local Ecumenical Partnerships.

Almost the whole of Staffordshire comes within the Church of England Diocese of Lichfield, whose historic hub is Lichfield Cathedral. The Bishop of Lichfield is the Right Revd Dr Michael Ipgrave. The role of Area Bishop of Stafford is currently vacant; the Area Bishop of Wolverhampton is the Right Revd Clive Gregory and the Episcopal Vicar for the Stafford Archdeaconry is the Right Revd Matthew Parker. Two parishes of the Diocese of Derby lie within Staffordshire, both on the east side of the River Trent in Stapenhill, Burton-upon-Trent.
Five Methodist Districts are represented in the county. The Birmingham District (covering Lichfield and Tamworth) is led by Chair of District Revd Ian Howarth; the Chester/Stoke District, chaired by Revd Helen Kirk, includes Newcastle-under-Lyme, Stoke-on-Trent and the Staffordshire Moorlands; the Nottingham/Derby District (which includes East Staffordshire) is led by Revd Loraine Mellor; the Manchester/Stockport District (with just one chapel in Staffordshire, at Hollinsclough) is chaired by Revd Dr Andrew Lunn; the Cannock Chase and Stafford Circuits fall within the Wolverhampton/Shrewsbury District, whose chair is Revd Rachel Parkinson.
The whole of Staffordshire comes within the Birmingham Archdiocese of the Roman Catholic Church, whose centre is St Chad’s Cathedral in Birmingham. The Archbishop of Birmingham is the Most Revd Bernard Longley and the Auxiliary Bishop for Staffordshire is Revd Stephen Wright.
The West Midlands Division of the Salvation Army includes the county of Staffordshire. Divisional Commanders are Majors JP and Karin Ramos.
The North/Mid Staffs and South Staffs areas fall within the West Midlands Synod of the United Reformed Church. Synod Moderator is Revd Steve Faber.
